Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park, nestled in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, is historically famous for its vast flocks of pink flamingos that often congregate along the alkaline shores of Lake Nakuru, creating a breathtaking pink spectacle. However, it’s important to note that flamingo populations can fluctuate due to changes in water levels and salinity. Even when flamingo numbers are lower, the lake and its surrounding park offer a wealth of other attractions.

• A Haven for Rhinos and Rothschild’s Giraffe: Lake Nakuru National Park is a significant sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. The well-protected environment allows for excellent rhino sightings. Additionally, the park is home to the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, easily identifiable by its lack of spots below the knees.
